The Hawthorne High School of Manufacturing and Engineering is a progressive learning community in which students of all backgrounds are given the skills and knowledge necessary to become what they choose.  Students are empowered to think critically, to identify and solve problems, to chase their own curiosity, and to apply that which they learn in the classroom to solving real world needs.

Our cooperative teaching strategies, coupled with the strong support of our district and local school administration, allow us to make a difference in the lives of our students.  We are proving, student by student, that it doesn’t matter where you come from.  It only matters where you are going... and what you do on the road to getting there.
